Attentus Healthcare Co., headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, was formed to acquire and manage select, small rural acute care hospitals in markets with attractive demographic characteristics. To date, Attentus has acquired five hospitals that are the sole or primary provider of healthcare to their rural communities in Alabama, Tennessee and Texas. Once an acquisition has been made, Attentus will aim to improve financial performance by improving hospital operations and community access to quality health care services through increased staffing services and physician recruitment.
